Stage 6 of the 2024 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift is a hilly 159.2 km route from Remiremont to Morteau which will test the riders again on the fifth day of racing.
After leaving the picturesque setting of Remiremont and heading up the Moselle valley, the peloton will pass through Thibaut Pinot’s hometown, Melisey, and then his birthplace, Lure. Beyond the magnificent Cirque de Consolation, the first test in the Jura massif, the route features two significant ramps heading into the finish (5.5km at 5.6% and 1.8km at 6.9%).
Can Katarzyna Niewiadoma (Canyon//SRAM Racing) keep control of the Yellow Jersey before the race heads into the high mountains at the weekend? Will Demi Vollering (Team SD Worx – Protime) be able to immediately strike back in the GC battle after her dramatic late crash on Stage 5? We’ll find out on Friday afternoon on what promises to be another thrilling day of Tour action.
Liane Lippert and Emma Norsgaard of Movistar Team, QOM leader Puck Pieterse (Fenix-Deceuninck) and Olympic champion Kristen Faulkner (EF Education-Oatly-Cannondale) are stage win contenders. Meanwhile, the Stage 5 breakaway trio of Fem Van Empel (Visma-Lease a Bike), Loes Adegeest (FDJ-Suez) and Julie Van de Velde (AG Insurance-Soudal Team) could feature again at the front of the race.
