The history
Fundación Euskadi was the force behind Euskaltel–Euskadi, which became a formidable presence in the Tour in the 2000s and picked up stage wins with riders such as Iban Mayo and Roberto Laiseka. It was also known for its fanatical supporters, the famous orange tide that swept the roads whenever the race headed to the Pyrenees.
Since 2020, it has also backed a women's team together with the online bank Laboral Kutxa. The Basque outfit, which received a wild card for its first ever Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, is banking on Ana Santesteban, tenth in the Flèche Wallonne Femmes and eighth overall last season in Jayco–AlUla colours.

KEY FIGURES
1. The Spaniard Yurani Blanco's triumph in the Gran Premio Ciudad de Eibar is the only victory that the team had bagged this season as of early June.
8. Spanish riders are barely in the majority (9 out of 17). The six-time Japanese champion, Eri Yonamine, signed from Human Powered Health last winter, and the Chilean Catalina Anais Soto, sixth in the Clásica de Almería, stand out from the international contingent.
