Justine Ghekiere (AG Insurance - Soudal Team): “I thought “it will be a really hard day” and my legs are so empty after yesterday which was very hard. So I said I will try for the points but I don’t know. In the beginning I felt really good, so I thought, “just go for it”. I was in the good attacks and I could get some good points. Then on the climb when Fisher-Black attacked I knew I had to go all in to get the points there because then maybe I’d have the jersey. I went so deep I saw stars! But I’m really happy that I have this nice jersey in the Tour. It’s really special. In the Giro it [the QOM prize] gave me confidence that I can do it if I make a goal of it and this week I made a deal with my DS, to have one day in the polka dot jersey and here I am. I have it already for one day and I will keep fighting until the end, but I know it will be very hard at the weekend.”
