Justine Ghekiere (AG Insurance-Soudal Team):“It was a dream what I did this week. I still couldn’t believe it when I learned I won the jersey. I did so much hard work all week and then I thought, “Justine just relax on Alpe d’Huez and just enjoy the crowd and the people. It was just so amazing! Now I realise what I did and it was a fantastic end to my Tour. Like it was also special for my in the Giro to get on the podium and now I’ve done it on the Tour. It’s the next level, it’s the highest level. It’s perfect. I felt so dead today, it was really hard. I knew I had to take the points on the first climb. It still wasn’t sure then but it was more of a chance then for the jersey. I had to go all in from the beginning, then it was over for me. I’d had such a short night last night because it was so overwhelming for me. It was really on the limit today so I’m happy I could ride Alpe d’Huez easy and just enjoy the last kilometres on the Tour.”
