FRANCE IS BACK!
France is the 7th winning country at the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, and comes after another country took their maiden win yesterday (Hungary, Vas). France had won in the previous incarnations of this race, the last one coming in stage 9, 1989, with legendary Jeannie Longo in Guiers-Aix-les-Bains.
SHE WINS ALONE
6th professional win for Cedrine Kerbaol: all her 4 road wins were scored alone:
- Stage 2 of the Tour de Nomandie 2023 (+8”)
- Vuelta Comunidad Valenciana 2024 (+4”)
- Durango - Durango 2024 (+4”)
- Stage 6 of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift 2024 (+21”)
The other two wins are one GC (Tour de Normandie 2023) and one TT (National Championship,2023).
BLISTERING START
It's been an aggressive race so far with plenty of attacks and a high pace. Of the 15 key Strava segments up for grabs in the opening five stages, 10 have fallen to riders in this year's Le Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift! There are 13 more available over the final three day so fracing.
FIRST WIN FOR CERATIZIT - WNT PRO CYCLING TEAM
Team Ceratizit – WNT Pro Cycling Team posted their first win at the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. Their previous best result had been a 4th place in the Rotterdam TT, always with Kerbaol. Last year, their best result was a 6th by Marta Lach in Blagnac.
CEDRINE'S FINAL
Cédrine Kerbaol launched her attack at the perfect moment, using the lull after the summit of Côte de Fins to escape from the bunch. She averaged 51.3km/h in the final 14.4km to hold off the chasers and become the first Frenchwoman to win a stage of Le Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift! She now sits 2nd in the GC too, 16" adrift of Kasia Niewiadoma.
THE POLKA DOT BATTLE
Puck Pieterse did her best to defend her polka dot jersey, with the fastest recorded times on the Côte des Fins (4'34") and La Roche du Prêtre (13'59") climbs, but ultimately Justine Ghekiere (AGS) took more points at claimed the jersey.
8TH PODIUM FOR VOS
Marianne Vos took the lead in the Points classification, won by her in 2022. She missed the win, but scored her 8th podium at the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. So far: 2 wins, 4 second places,2 thirds.

Fourth stage podium for Liane Lippert. She won in Mauriac last year, and was 3rd in Albi last year, and Amnéville and Morteau this year.
TWO GENERATIONS COLLIDE
There is a gap of 14 years between winner Kerbaol (23) to runner-up Vos (37), the largest recorded so far at the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. Vos was present also in the previous record: in Paris 2022 and Montignac-Lascaux 2023 she was 2nd to Lorena Wiebes, which is nearly 12 years younger than her.
THE MAILLOT JAUNE COMES IN PAIRS
This year the Maillot Jaune was worn in pairs: first 2 stages: Charlotte Kool; stages 3-4: Demi Vollering; stages 5-6: Katarzyna Niewiadoma. Now is up to the Polish rider to breakthestreak!
BREAK OF THE DAY
Stage 6 of the first edition of Le Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift saw a group of 14 riders escape the bunch. Marie Le Net was the final rider to be caught, less than 5km from the finish in Rosheim, and it was Marianne Vos who took the victory that day.
Fast-forward two years and we have a break of 18 riders, including Vos, in the lead. They had a maximum gap of 2'42" but were caught with 15.5km to go. They covered 100km in at the front of the race at an average of 37.1km/h
